Elementary Resources
The resource room is just that, a resource for students who have difficulty learning in the regular classroom environment. Students who qualify for special education services have the opportunity to get more one-on-one help and instruction in the Resource Room. If a student needs more intensive help, they may be pulled out of the general education classroom to receive instruction from a special education teacher or special education staff member.
Many of the students who come to the resource room need more help with reading fluency, reading comprehension, and writing. In these cases, a student may have a modified curriculum that focuses specifically on their needs. Material is presented at a pace and a level that best suits each individual student.
