| READING:
The students read and discuss books in
small groups. They learn how to make connections, inferences and to
summarize.
MATH: New concepts in 3rd grade are multiplying and dividing. LANGUAGE ARTS: Cursive writing is learned and practiced. We have a poetry unit so the students read and create poetry. 3rd grade time is spend on many writing activities. SS: We study many communities and compare these to our community. The students build landmarks and contact people in other states to learn about their life. SCIENCE: Planets, habitants and the human body are areas of study in 3rd grade science.
