General course description.

Life skills is an elective physical education class for one semester or the whole year. Special emphasis is on developing skills that are beneficial physically, mentally and emotionally.
Students are encouraged to be active in healthy recreation throughout their lives.

Recreation is defined as activities that create a person in these three ways during time that is not committed to biological or economic needs.

 

What are the major areas covered by the course?

Various team and individual activities.              
Some of the activities are

Chair ball

What are your expectations or goals for the students?

Students are expected to simply give their best effort in all activities and to conduct themselves as good sports and good team players.

The course goal is to help students become happier, healthier people by using their leisure time wisely.
